In the beginning it was natural to wear your hair NATURAL.

We spent countless hours in our mother's "Kitchen salon".

It was a social time, it was a fine art.
Then we went from the kitchen chair stacked with "Yellow page"
phone books,
to the front stoop where you and your friends played hair.

Picking dandruff, oiling the scalp, and designing cornrow styles with beads.

Remember making rollers out of brown paper bags

or putting body lotion in your hair to make it smooth?

Then we made our journey to the neighborhood salon.
Then talented "hairdressers" would press and curl your hair to perfection…
It would last two weeks … unless it rains or you had gym.

Finally I'm introduced to Revlon "super" perms, Jeri Carefree Curls,
Many dimensions of hair extensions …wraps, weave …
Fried, dyed, dried, lyed… OH MY!

The land fills of America are full with my throw away hair...
Please .. give me some relief.
